John, How are you being an Ally to LGBTQ youth?
GLSEN's Ally Week is a student-run program in which LGBTQ students lead the conversation about what they need from their supporters. This is something that we at GLSEN take very seriously: working side-by-side with LGBTQ students in communities across the country to create more inclusive and welcoming schools.
John, will you support LGBTQ students during Ally Week?
Supporting LGBTQ students means fighting systems of oppression and acting in solidarity with young people with diverse and intersecting identities. Ally Week is a time to show marginalized K-12 students they are not alone.
John, you can help by making a donation today.
Your gift will support the thousands of students and educators who are amplifying LGBTQ youth voices during Ally Week and all year round to:
We’re working together to create K-12 schools that are safe and inclusive for all. And we need your help.
“It is an ally's job to advocate, not to wait until someone gets hurt. It is not the LGBTQ student's responsibility to ask an ally to advocate for them, that's what an ally should be doing anyway.” –Imani
Please don’t wait. Support Ally Week. Support LGBTQ students, educators, and parents. Together, we can achieve our shared vision of safe and supportive schools, where everyone can thrive.
