It’s clear: To pass President Biden’s full agenda - Democrats must end the filibuster, which requires some votes in the Senate to have a 60-40 majority.
The filibuster was created centuries ago to block bills indefinitely and stop the majority party from being able to pass legislation.
With the filibuster in place, Republicans can subvert democracy and sabotage every Democratic bill.

Here’s some of the many things Democrats want that may not be able to pass with the filibuster in place:
- ❌ Expanding voting rights, such as Automatic Voter Registration;
- ❌ New bold environmental legislation;
- ❌ Making Washington D.C. a state.
