[[link removed]]Democrat,
Jeff Van Drew has continued to betray his constituents, our state and our values over and over again. First, it was his decision to abandon our party and join the Republicans, pledging his “undying support” to Donald Trump. Then came his willingness to spread Trump’s lies about the election and his total failure to stand up for our democracy -- the kind of cowardice that led directly to the Capitol insurrection. Now, Van Drew has taken another step toward the radical fringe of the Republican Party by refusing to hold radical QAnon spreader Rep. Marjorie Taylor-Greene accountable.
As each day passes, it becomes more and more clear that Jeff Van Drew must be defeated in 2022. Chip in now to help us stand up to his lies and defense of the violent, far right fringe and help us make sure his Democratic opponent has the resources to expose him for what he is -- a Donald Trump lapdog that South Jersey can’t trust. While Governor Murphy has kept his focus on handling the COVID-19 pandemic while supporting small businesses [[link removed]] , and on ramping up vaccine distribution capacit y [[link removed]] while we wait for more supply from the federal government, that doesn't mean he has stopped working on other critical priorities. In fact, Governor Murphy has partnered with First Lady Tammy Murphy to unveil an ambitious new policy agenda designed to address our state’s unfortunate ranking as one of the worst in the nation for maternal mortality among Black and Hispanic women giving birth.

The strategic plan is the latest element of the first lady’s Nurture NJ initiative, which aims to make New Jersey the safest and most equitable place in the nation [[link removed]] to deliver and raise a baby. Taking these concrete steps now will save the lives of mothers across our state, and it once again shows the Governor’s commitment to the women of New Jersey. Alongside this important initiative, Governor Murphy has also signed into law the nation’s strongest equal pay for equal work laws, announced his support for codifying Roe v. Wade into state law, increased funding for women’s healthcare services and much more.
For up to date information regarding new cases and directives regarding coronavirus, or information on vaccine registration and signup, visit the state’s dedicated COVID-19 Information Hub [[link removed]] or follow Governor Murphy’s official pages on social media. You can also reach the state’s Vaccine Call Center at 1-855-568-0545.

Header: President Biden Update [[link removed]]
The Biden administration is wasting no time in working to deliver the relief that people struggling through the pandemic so desperately need. The President’s $1.9 trillion relief package passed a critical procedural vote in the U.S. Senate [[link removed]] this morning, and the plan is now on its way to the House of Representatives for further consideration. New Jersey’s Democratic senators Bob Menendez and Cory Booker supported this crucial legislation, and we look forward to our House delegation soon acting to deliver this much-needed assistance. Unfortunately every single Republican senator voted no on the plan, once again showing their party’s abandonment of people in need.
