Last week, I rejoined the House Budget Committee.

Our country’s budget is the road map that depicts our spending priorities. My prime concern as a member is to ensure our budget reflects our nations most pressing matters and ushers our country toward a just and sustainable tomorrow.

Through addressing the effects of racial inequity head on, I will ensure our budget makes room for bold progress on the climate crisis, ending poverty, improving our education system, and eliminating income inequality.

In every decision I make, the needs of the people will be at the forefront because that’s what is critical in beating this global pandemic, building our country back better, and crafting a budget that is equitable, bipartisan, and that works for all.
