Hope is here, John.
Small businesses drive California’s economy, employ nearly half of all private sector employees and create two-thirds of new jobs. As California faces challenges due to the global pandemic, California Democrats continue to prioritize the health of every person while fighting for small business relief.
That’s why Governor Gavin Newsom and California Democratic leaders established California’s Small Business COVID-19 Relief Grant Program. The program has already awarded over $225 million to more than 21,000 small businesses with 77% of selected applicants being from underserved and disadvantaged communities.
And that’s just the beginning. There’s another $237.5 million up for grabs in the second round of funding. If you are a small business owner who has been impacted by COVID-19, apply for this small business grant by February 8th!

It’s like Asm. Wendy Carrillo said, “Small businesses are the backbone of our state economy. They shape the character, culture and authenticity of our neighborhoods and create opportunities for Californians to thrive and achieve the American Dream.”
