Friend -- President Obama is right that accountability is lacking among our elected officials, particularly after the January 6 Capitol riot. Unfortunately, the extremist Republicans who supported the riot by attempting to overturn the 2020 election results might get away with it, and gerrymandering is a big part of the reason why.

Half of the members of Congress who voted to overturn the election results come from gerrymandered states. Thanks to map manipulation they don't have to worry about their next general election; gerrymandering incentivizes them to be as extreme as possible.

And until we end gerrymandering, we'll have to deal with this lack of accountability to voters and to common sense.

It's not an exaggeration to say our democracy is at stake. Will you pitch in to help the NDRC end Republican gerrymandering?
