Hello,

The COVID-19 pandemic has devastated our communities, especially right here in Wisconsin. It’s on all of us to protect one another by following the recommendations of our health care professionals: stay socially distant, and of course, wear a mask.

Just yesterday, Republicans in the Wisconsin State Legislature struck down Governor Tony Evers’ public health safety measures — proving, once again, that they are stuck on stupid.

Folks, this is unacceptable. Republicans are putting politics over the recommendations of scientists and public health experts, and the health and safety of the people of Wisconsin — and in doing so, they are putting lives at risk.

I’m working my heart out to end this pandemic so that we can see our families and friends again, safely open our schools, and most importantly, keep everyone safe. But we cannot get through this unless folks follow the recommendations of public health experts, like wearing a mask.

We all have a responsibility to one another, and to work side by side to get through this public health crisis, stabilize our economy, and keep our families safe. Wearing a mask is the best way to keep each other safe.
