Dean shared his thoughts about privilege -- what it looks like, and what it means.

Friend,

Last evening, Dean went to the House floor to share an account of his experience in the U.S. Capitol during the January 6th insurrection.

Dean's message was clear and powerful: He spoke of the moment when the violent, white supremacist mob was breaking into the House Chamber, his gut instinct to blend-in with GOP lawmakers, and his realization that his colleagues of color could not do the same.

That's privilege. As Dean said, "It took a violent mob of insurrectionists and a lightning-bolt moment in this very room" to fully understand that.

If you haven't yet, we thought you'd want a chance to watch his speech yourself. Watch the speech and read more about it from the Star Tribune. Share it with your friends and family to start your own conversation with people you love.

Thanks,

The DeanTeam
