COVID-19 has done so much damage to our country. Hundreds of thousands of our fellow Americans are dead, millions remain unemployed, and extreme poverty has spiked across the country.
That’s why it’s so disgusting that some in the GOP have decided to play politics instead of working with us to pass COVID-19 relief as soon as possible.
We are ready and waiting for Republicans to act like adults, and if they don’t, we will move forward without them. Americans desperately in need of economic assistance are counting on us.
Despite the public health and economic crises we are facing, Republicans are still quicker to indulge anti-Semitic lunacy about “Jewish space lasers” than they are to help their fellow Americans.
With state government budgets overstretched, Senate Republicans are denying the money needed to pay teachers, firefighters, custodians, and more. We can’t let them stop this critical relief.
