Last week, President Biden signed an executive order directing the Agriculture Department to allow states to increase SNAP benefits to the lowest-income recipients and to raise emergency benefits for families whose children would normally be getting free meals at school by 15%.
That means every dollar you donate towards our SNAP outreach will now generate $38 in federally funded SNAP benefits that go straight to American families. It's often harder to apply for these benefits than it is to pay your taxes -- making our work vital in walking families through this arduous process.
