Marie’s first month in Congress was quite the whirlwind -- but she’s still been able to dive right in to begin tackling the problems facing workers and everyday families.

You’re an important part of this team, so we wanted to share a quick wrap-up of last week to make sure you’re up to date on her work in Congress so far:

- Co-sponsored legislation to prohibit water shutoffs and ensure that water stays affordable for low-income households during the pandemic
- Co-sponsored legislation to permanently repeal Trump’s global gag rule which jeopardized reproductive rights and access to healthcare across the world
- Co-sponsored legislation to end the unfair pre-funding mandate which has been responsible for 100% of the United States Postal Service’s net losses since 2013 AND a resolution to oppose privatization of the USPS
- Co-sponsored legislation to make the use of chokeholds by police illegal
- Co-sponsored legislation to abolish the federal death penalty
- Co-sponsored legislation to ensure Americans can access written materials related to COVID-19 in multiple languages
- Co-sponsored a resolution to censure GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene for her divisive, hateful rhetoric
