John, Happy Black History Month! This is a special time to recognize all the amazing contributions Black people have made to build this country, honestly confront our past and help build a true democracy. I have found hope watching the work done across our country by our community, Black organizers, elected officials, and activists. From electing the first Black United States Senator from my home state of Georgia, to the first Black and South Asian woman as our Vice President, we have bared witness to history. Our voices were heard on the ground in cities across the country -- our community has worked hard to organize and lift our voices. And this isn’t new -- Black organizers have always led the fight to expand and protect voting rights in our country. This Black History Month, I’m thinking about how proud I am of the work we’ve done and I can’t wait to get back to work with you! I believe in our power to create change, and I hope you’ll join me in continuing the work to create an enduring, inclusive democracy. Stephanie Stephanie L.
