Coronavirus: National lockdown

Oldham, along with the rest of England, is in a national lockdown. There is no exception for anyone who has received a vaccination.

An update regarding lockdown will come from the government on 22 February.

Coronavirus vaccinations
Our rollout of the Coronavirus vaccine continues to go well across the borough, with more than 37,000 Oldham-registered patients already having their first vaccinations.

Covid testing available to the following people...
We’ve opened four centres across Oldham to offer Covid testing to people who:
* Can’t work from home
* Work with members of the public
* Work in a shared workplace outside the home
* Are not showing any symptoms

This is to help reduce the spread of covid and save lives. It’s quick and easy and you don’t even need to book an appointment, just pop in. The centres are located at:
* Shaw Life Long Learning Centre, High Street, OL2 8RQ
* Failsworth Town Hall, Oldham Road, M35 0FJ
* Oldham Leisure Centre, Middleton, Road OL9 6AF
* Uppermill Civic Hall, Lee Street, OL3 6AE

Safer Internet Day – 9 February
Safer Internet Day is coming up, and this year it will be celebrated in the UK with the theme of 'An internet we trust: exploring reliability in the online world'. The internet has an amazing range of information and opportunities online, but the question is how to separate fact from fiction. Half term food vouchers
Over 17,000 Oldham children and young people will be offered food vouchers, to be used at local supermarkets, to ensure they have enough food for over the half term break. Young people eligible for Free School Meals at Oldham College and Oldham Sixth Form College will also be supported as part of this initiative. Learn more here ([link removed]) .
