For more than 30 years, Alabama Arise has built a united front for policies that will bring equity to all Alabamians. Members across the state decide which issues we work on -- not our board or staff. Being a member-led organization works. 

In 2020, our advocacy:

• Guided more than 5,000 supporters to reach out to legislators.
• Led to 15,000 kids being enrolled in community eligibility for free school meals.
• Built a coalition of 100+ organizations, ranging from the largest health care advocates in the country to local grassroots groups, to fight for Medicaid expansion.
