On my first day in office, I swore to protect and defend our democracy.

The foundation of our country is under attack by extremists and conspiracy-theorists on the far right. They spread dangerous conspiracy theories and lies to undermine our democracy.

It’s a sad day when an elected official threatens the democracy we promised to protect. But Marjorie Taylor Greene has been doing just that. She peddles lies and conspiracies. Instead of speaking out for her constituents, she is spreading dangerous lies — lies that played a central role in inciting the insurrection on January 6th.

Her actions are a clear and present danger to our country. That’s why I’ve joined Representative Jimmy Gomez and dozens of my colleagues in a historic movement to expel her from Congress. We need to stand strong and speak out against those who seek to derail our democracy.
