Off to the races in 2021!

PETE MAKES LGBTQ HISTORY!

It’s official: Pete Buttigieg is America’s first out permanent U.S. Cabinet Secretary! Pete was sworn-in with his husband, Chasten, by his side. We’re thrilled he’ll be adding an essential LGBTQ perspective to the Cabinet.

As Victory Fund President & CEO Mayor Annise Parker noted, Pete’s confirmation is transformative, showing LGBTQ leaders and youth that they too can reach the highest levels of government.

Everyone’s favorite Road Warrior, Danica Roem, celebrated Pete’s confirmation hearing – and reminded him that she’s ready to fix the notoriously bad Rt. 28.

ALL POLITICS ARE LOCAL

BIG APPLE POLITICOS

Amazing news from New York: the state Senate has repealed the discriminatory “walking while trans” law!

New York State Senator Brad Hoylman, who has received our endorsement in his race for Manhattan Borough President, joined trans advocates in being the chief champions of repeal. Congratulations to the advocates and elected officials who fought so hard for equality!

Spotlight candidate Elisa Crespo announced a big endorsement in her race for New York City Council District 15: TenantsPAC is standing with her! She will be the first out trans person ever elected in New York when she wins.

Tiffany Cabán, our candidate for New York City Council District 22, released her latest public safety plan. Read the whole thing here!
