As governor of California, I have to grapple with the consequences of Donald Trump's presidency every single day. Just last week, Trump and his administration moved to revoke California's waiver to set higher standards on car emissions -- hurting consumers to the tune of $400 billion and wrecking our air and economy.

And that's not all, John. Time and again, Trump and his Republican buddies in Washington have pursued their amoral agenda instead of doing what's right by hardworking Americans. We have no choice but to do everything in our power to vote them out of office and replace them with Democrats who represent our values and care about our concerns.

That's why it's so important that we support the Democratic Party ahead of Monday's end-of-quarter fundraising deadline. The DNC is the only party committee responsible for defeating Trump and electing Democrats nationwide -- which is why I hope you'll join me in supporting our party by donating $3 today.

Our climate, our economy, and our country cannot withstand another four years of the Trump presidency. The DNC knows this -- which is why they're hard at work hiring organizers and other staff in key battleground states; holding Trump and his shady administration accountable through the DNC War Room; and making sure that every Democrat running for office has access to the quality data they need to reach voters and win.

All of these things are essential for Democratic victories next year -- but they don't come cheap, John. In order for the Democratic Party to continue implementing its 2020 strategy, folks like you and me need to step up and offer them a hand before Monday's FEC fundraising deadline.
