Fellow American,
Since first entering elected office, my top issue has been defending the unborn. I will always be a voice and an advocate for the most vulnerable among us.
During my time in the Nebraska Legislature, we passed the first state-wide ban on abortions after 20 weeks. Science tells us that unborn children can absolutely feel pain at this point in their mother’s pregnancy, and conscious tells us that these children deserve legal protection.
It was the first of its kind in the United States, and now I am proud to co-sponsor similar legislation on the national level.
My colleague, Senator Lindsay Graham, recently reintroduced the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act. This important legislation provides protection for unborn child in the womb who have reached 20 weeks after fertilization.
There is significant evidence that these children endure tremendous pain as their lives are cut short via abortion. This is a science-based bill that represents a crucial defense of life, and I hope and pray that we can get it passed.
The radical left has tried to convince the public for years that life doesn’t begin before birth, but modern science has allowed us to see life at even its earliest stages. These children deserve a chance to take their first breath, especially once they have reached a stage of development when they feel pain.
Please help me be a voice for the voiceless by making a donation to protect the unborn today.
