This is YOUR victory!

Mayor Horrigan announced on Facebook live that he is pulling the La Due proposal from the city council agenda and will definitively not move forward with the plan.
This is because of our grassroots organizing and action. Thank you! The fight isn’t over and we will continue to hold city council accountable. But we can enjoy a victory for our neighbors, for our communities, and for our planet!

Join us this Friday for a virtual Community Victory Celebration! You can RSVP here. Then, join us for our last No Frackin' Akron meeting this Saturday, where we will be doing an organizing follow-up and next steps.

Thank you for all of your efforts! And although Akron DSA was integral to this campaign, we appreciate everyone who fought this danger to our environment and public health. We also thank our co-sponsors The Big Love Network and Our Revolution Akron!

In Solidarity,

Akron DSA Steering Committee
