Before Katie won her first race in 2018, our district hadn’t sent a Democrat to Congress in over 30 years. Flipping it from red to blue was thought of as a “pie in the sky” fantasy.
This update is the result of years and years of hard work from many grassroots organizations. With your support, we’ve invested in registering new and young voters and organizing underrepresented communities year-round in Orange County—and it’s making a difference.
But John, this does not mean that we can let up now. It means that we must keep up this important work. As you can see, the voter registration numbers are incredibly close. This is still a very competitive district for a Democrat to be in—and we need to keep making progress between now and the 2022 election.
