Friend, When the Capitol was stormed on January 6th - it was terrifying. The actions of the out-of-control mob who forced their way into the Capitol were immediately condemned by the left and the right. But since that day, the left has run wild because they will never let a crisis go to waste to push their radical agenda -- especially Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Earlier this week, she said she feared for her life. She compared it to sexual assault. She claimed Senators were responsible for “trying to have her murdered” that day. And then the reports came out that she wasn’t in the Capitol during the riot. She was two doors down the hall from me. And I know firsthand, there were never insurrectionists in our hallway. Now, I will not discount the fear of any member of Congress on that day. And I too have shared my horrible experience on January 6th. It was a dark day in our nation’s history. But unlike AOC, I deal in facts, not fiction. And the fact is: she was safe in her office. JOIN NANCY: STAND UP TO AOC >> This ‘never let a good crisis go to waste’ hyper-partisan talk is part of the reason Washington can’t come together for the people anymore. AOC doesn’t want to find common ground. She wants to further divide Americans. She can pressure me all she wants, but I’ve never backed down before, and I won’t start now. I will always stand up to the political games and lies. And lucky for me, I’m in good company. Today, I want you to join me and the many throughout our country who are saying ENOUGH IS ENOUGH to AOC’s latest theatrics. Will you chip in today to help me spread the word? Friend, when it comes down to it, this is exactly the kind of brokenness I was elected to help break up in Washington. In my lifetime, Congress has gone from the greatest deliberative body in world history to a punch line for late-night comedy sketches and campaign stump speeches. I believe we need to stop this drama and get this house (the House of Representatives) in order, and we need to do it now. I’m a fiscal conservative — that means I believe in a balanced budget, limited government, and lower taxes. I'm the kind of woman who gets things done - it's what my whole life has been about. Much to AOC and the radical left’s surprise: I don’t fall too easily into the “Republican woman” mold they’ve tried so hard to define. I’ll never fit the mold of what Washington wants from a politician. I’m a trailblazing, fiscally conservative woman — exactly the kind of woman that scares Nancy Pelosi and the radical left. I’ve challenged their narrative since Day One. They can’t stand to see a strong Republican woman standing up for fiscally conservative values and refusing to back down from her beliefs. It bothers them. That’s why we see the harsh tweets and scathing soundbites. But I’m not intimidated. I’ve spent my entire life breaking down barriers, including becoming the first female graduate of The Citadel — the military college of South Carolina. But being a part of this ceiling shattering class of GOP women is one of my proudest accomplishments to date. When most people think of a Republican member of Congress, they don’t think of a former Waffle House waitress and single mom. It’s time for a new GOP voice in Washington. And it starts by calling out the B.S. and holding Washington accountable to the people once again. If you agree, chip in any amount using the link below to help me stand for the truth against the lies destroying this country. Thank you, Friend.
