Dear John,

AFGE's Y.O.U.N.G. Committee is proud to participate in tomorrow's summit sponsored by Students Advocate Vital Engagement (S.A.V.E.). This FREE virtual, two-day event is a Legislative Advocacy Summit taking place February 5-6, 2021 for youth and young adult attendees.

We are excited to have our very own AFGE Y.O.U.N.G. Committee Co-Chair Kendrick Roberson as a presenter at this virtual event. Co-Chair Roberson is featured in two workshops, Generation NOW happening on Saturday, February 6 at 3:20 p.m. ET and Who’s Policing the Police happening on Saturday, February 6 at 12:05 p.m. ET.

The goal of the Summit is to engage young people at this critical and unique time in our society as we focus on social justice issues, civic engagement, COVID-19 exposed health disparities, and other important national and global issues affecting our youth.

The Summit will, through discussions with legislators, provide the attendees with an understanding of the legislative process, and opportunities to hear from celebrities, and community influencers on effective advocacy strategies.

We hope that you will register the young people in your life for this important learning opportunity.

In Solidarity,

David Mollett
AFGE District 5 National Vice President
