John,
Congress must strip Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of her committee assignments.
I will share a bit of my history with her and what led me to this decision in a moment, but if you agree that this is necessary, then please sign my petition today supporting the measure to remove Marjorie Taylor Green from her committees to let me know I have your support.
For a lot of my colleagues and the media, Marjorie Taylor Greene is someone that they’ve only recently become familiar with.
But before she was running in Georgia’s 14th Congressional District, she was actually running against me for a large part of 2019.
The conspiracy theories and lies she’s become infamous for espousing were things I confronted on a regular basis.
That video of her harassing David Hogg that recently went viral was unearthed and originally shared by my campaign more than a year ago.
There are times when Congress must decide to hold one of their own accountable — particularly when they pose a threat to the safety and well being of their fellow members or the nation.
I take this action today with the families of gun violence survivors in mind. The families whose lives were horrifically changed at Sandy Hook and Stoneman Douglas. That these survivors faced stalking and threats because of and in at least one case from her directly is unconscionable.
I cannot stomach the idea that a member of Congress would deny the existence of gun violence to families who have lost their children across the country, just as mine has.
For these reasons, I will vote to strip her of her committee assignments.
Thank you in advance for adding your name to support my decision. I know the far-right will attack and target me for this, so it means a lot to know that you have my back.
