Friend--Today, Sara will vote to remove Marjorie Taylor Greene from all House committees.

This is just the first step towards accountability for Greene's despicable actions and violent rhetoric. Check out Sara's earlier message below to learn more about her efforts to censure Greene and demand her resignation.

Greene and those Members of Congress who stand with her don't belong in leadership. If you agree, chip in any amount today to stand with Sara and defend the Democratic House majority.

Subject: What a month

Friend,

My first month in Congress didn't go the way I expected.

When I envisioned my first speech on the House floor, I thought I would speak about rebuilding America's standing in the world or about alleviating childhood poverty across our country while telling the stories I heard from people across our district who are struggling every day.

I never thought my first speech would be about impeaching Donald Trump for a second time -- but that's what the moment called for.

I've spent my career working in post-conflict settings at the United Nations and the State Department, and I learned that our response to political violence -- like what we saw at the Capitol on January 6 -- must always be accountability. Without accountability, more violence will follow. But impeaching Donald Trump was only the first step. I am committed to holding the Members of Congress who encouraged and incited this violence accountable as well.

When it comes to inciting violence, Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene from Georgia is one of the most egregious offenders. She has continued to spread dangerous conspiracy theories about Jewish Americans and the victims of 9/11 and the Parkland school shooting. She even endorsed executing Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Secretary Hillary Clinton, and President Barack Obama. It's clear that she is a threat to our democracy, and she is not fit to serve in Congress.

That's why I introduced a resolution to censure Marjorie Taylor Greene and demand her resignation. This isn't the first piece of legislation I planned to introduce either -- but it's what this moment calls for, too.

Greene thinks her enduring support for Donald Trump will raise money and help advance her career. Instead of doing what she was elected to do -- protect and serve her constituents and the American people -- she is more interested in spreading hate and vile conspiracy theories, jeopardizing the safety and security of our democracy.

Holding Greene accountable and keeping other dangerous conspiracy theorists out of our government won't be easy. Can you contribute any amount before the January fundraising deadline at midnight so we have the resources to protect and expand our majority? ([link removed])

Together, we can build a country where we hold our leaders accountable and finally get back to work on behalf of the American people.

Thank you,

Sara
