The Latest in CF Research

Vertex announced that the FDA accepted its application to expand Trikafta® ([link removed]) to include children with cystic fibrosis ages 6 – 11 years old who have at least one F508del mutation or a mutation in the CFTR gene that is responsive based on in vitro data. The FDA is expected to make a decision by June 8, 2021.

We awarded up to $3 million to Kinnear Pharmaceuticals ([link removed]) to conduct preclinical testing of a broad-spectrum anti-infective that has the potential to treat multi-drug resistant Pseudomonas and other infections in people with CF.  Read more about the award » ([link removed])
