John,

Yesterday, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy failed to find the courage to take action against Marjorie Taylor Greene’s dangerous, violent, and hateful rhetoric. The Republican Party, at a crossroads, chose the low road yesterday.

Today, the Democratic-led House has another opportunity to condemn Marjorie Taylor Greene’s despicable comments. The House will vote to remove Greene from all her committee appointments, with or without Republican support.

Will you add your name today to our petition to demand Greene be removed from her committees?

Look, John, right-wing Republicans are nothing new. We’ve been dealing with them for a long time. But extremists like Marjorie Taylor Greene are different, and the fact that she received a standing ovation from her Republican colleagues, is raising record amounts of money, and has been accepted by the Republican Party should scare the hell out of us.

As Seth said in his Boston Globe op-ed this morning, “It’s not cancel culture to call out extremists. It’s brave and patriotic. I wouldn’t embrace domestic extremists as family. I certainly don’t embrace them as a part of a ‘unity’ message. Terrorism is, by definition, political. Nobody should embrace a movement that produced the terrorism of Jan. 6 simply because the perpetrators claim to be Republicans.”

Stand with us today and demand that the House make a resounding choice today to remove Marjorie Taylor Greene from her committees.

Thank you,
