As you read this email, lawmakers in Washington are still debating whether or not to include a $15 an hour minimum wage in the next COVID relief package.
Wouldn't it be nice if we had another Senator from Pennsylvania who believed that all paychecks should have dignity, and that we should stop letting corporations pay workers starvation wages? 🤔

John's been saying for years that we need to raise the minimum wage to at least $15 an hour. He hasn't had to "evolve" on key issues — because he says what he believes and he believes what he says.
Together,
Team Fetterman

Subject: I want to hear where you're at re: raising the minimum wage to at least $15 an hour, John
All work has dignity, John. All paychecks must, too.
That’s why, as a U.S. Senator, I’d fight to raise the national minimum wage to at least $15 an hour. ✊
The minimum wage in Pennsylvania hasn’t been raised in *more* than a decade. It’s time we stop pretending we’re saving money or jobs by paying starvation wages. It’s mathematically impossible to live on minimum wage, and we all end up making up the difference as a society in the form of public assistance, crime, health care — you name it.
As I strongly consider a run for Senate, it’s important to me to hear exactly where folks like you are on huge issues such as raising the minimum wage. So add your name if you agree: We’ve got to raise the national minimum wage to at least $15 an hour to make sure that every person can live and work with dignity.
For people trying to stay above water, the $7.25 minimum wage in Pennsylvania just isn’t enough to get by. Not even close. So why pretend it’s nothing more than an anchor to poverty, despair + dependence? 🤔
The truth is that the same politicians blocking a $15 per hour minimum wage are waiting on the other side to shame you for needing assistance simply to eat. Because the minimum wage is just *that* shitty.
I think it’s high time for us to take on this issue the right way by raising the national minimum wage to at least $15 an hour. But I realize this campaign has never just been about me. That’s why I want to know where you’re at, John.
Thanks for your input,
John Fetterman
Lieutenant Governor of Pennsylvania
P.S. Look, John: I believe that no one who is working 40-plus hours a week should live in poverty in America – and the majority agrees: 67% of Americans support raising the minimum wage to $15 an hour. If you’re among them, let me know by adding your name to our petition in support of raising the national minimum wage to at least $15 an hour.
