President Joe Biden claims he can bring America, including urban and rural
America, consumers and farmers, together. Looking at the country through the
narrow lens of red and blue, Republicans and Democrats.

On January 27, 2021, President Joe Biden signed his “ Executive Order on Tackling the Climate Crisis at Home and Abroad
[[link removed]] .” This historic action commited the U.S. to achieving “significant short-term
global reductions in greenhouse gas emissions and net-zero global emissions by
mid-century or before.”

Biden’s climate EO was immediately likened
[[link removed]] to the Green New Deal
[[link removed]] resolution championed by the Sunrise Movement
[[link removed]] .

One big difference between the two is, while the Green New Deal sticks to direct
government investment in proven climate solutions, Biden’s climate EO relies, in
part, on “market-based mechanisms” and “robust standards for the market ... to
catalyze private sector investment.”

Another difference is that the Green New Deal sets transformative goals for
social justice that go beyond merely surviving the climate crisis, like
“building a more sustainable food system that ensures universal access to
healthy food.” By contrast, Biden’s climate EO doesn’t mention “food” even as it
recognizes that “America’s farmers, ranchers, and forest landowners have an
important role to play in combating the climate crisis and reducing greenhouse
gas emissions, by sequestering carbon in soils, grasses, trees, and other
vegetation and sourcing sustainable bioproducts and fuels.” Are “sustainable
bioproducts” edible? They don’t sound very appetizing―or nourishing.

These two differences between the Green New Deal and Biden’s climate EO wouldn’t
have us so concerned if it weren’t for the support for three dangerous false
solutions that his Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack brings to the Biden-Harris
Cabinet.

The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation awarded another $10 million
[[link removed]] last week to the controversial Cornell Alliance for Science, a communications campaign housed at Cornell
[[link removed]] that trains fellows in Africa and elsewhere to promote and defend genetically
engineered foods, crops and agrichemicals. The new grant brings BMGF grants to
the group to $22 million.

The PR investment comes at a time when the Gates Foundation is under fire for
spending billions of dollars on agricultural development schemes in Africa that
critics say are entrenching farming methods that benefit corporations over
people.

For years OCA and our allies have exposed the megalomania,

In January 2021, after months of political tension and red tape, a 10-person
team from the World Health Organization arrived in Wuhan, China to investigate
the origins of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19. Wuhan is known as the
epicenter of the global pandemic and, arguably, the most important research into
COVID-19, outside of finding a cure, is how the pandemic started.

There are currently two such investigations underway — one by WHO and another by
The Lancet's COVID-19 commission — but both are essentially “fake,” as they’re
riddled with conflicts of interest.

Namely, Peter Daszak, EcoHealth Alliance president, is part of both of these
investigations, despite working closely with the Wuhan Institute of Virology
