Friends,
It has been more than a year since the first case of COVID-19 was reported in the United States – the beginning of the worst national health crisis and economic downturn in decades.
The U.S. Department of Labor estimates that more than 18 million Americans are still receiving some form of unemployment benefits. In December, Congress passed new legislation that extended federal unemployment benefits, including an extra $300 per weeks for all workers, through March 14, 2021.
Those benefits will expire unless Congress acts soon. That’s why I’m asking you, should Congress extend unemployment benefits before they expire March 14?
Thank you,
Cindy
