Too many communities across America have been torn apart by gun violence – including my own, our district. I've stood at more crime scenes than I care to recount where gun violence took its deadly toll. I've spoken with mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters and friends who will never again speak to a loved one because someone who never should have had their hands on a violent weapon in the first place got one.

The trauma of living through gun violence is grievously deep. Nobody in their right mind would wish it upon anyone – at bare minimum. But to attack and harass survivors of gun violence, particularly those who were just kids at the time? That's violence in its own right. It's despicable.

Friend, I try not to elevate that sort of sick behavior, but a House colleague of mine has chosen to use her time to stoke the fire of the Jan. 6 armed insurrection at the Capitol and to attack a brave survivor of a devastating shooting that happened right here in Florida. She's purported that the mass gun violence at Sandy Hook and Parkland were hoaxes. It's an unfathomable low point for the GOP, and it's incumbent on her fellow Republicans to condemn and initiate consequences for her dangerous behavior.

I am of the firm belief that nobody who advances such terrible conspiracies – and harasses school shooting survivors in the process – should be allowed to continue serving on the House Education and Labor Committee. With the third anniversary of Parkland coming up – and the survivors of that tragedy, from student to educator to parent, still calling for gun reform: It's crucial Marjorie Taylor Greene is removed from that committee.

If you agree, then join me in speaking out before 11:59 p.m. tonight by answering the following question:
|
Should Marjorie Taylor Greene keep her seat on the House education committee?

Thank you,
