Returning to my journalism roots!

Neil and I have launched a podcast about innovation and entrepreneurship. The theme of our show is that today everyone needs to think like an entrepreneur, whether it’s in your own business, a large organization, or a non-profit.  Our guests have included the head of the largest angel investor group in the US, an entrepreneur who created a natural fertilizer business combining shit and garbage, the head of the Hispanic Chamber of e-Commerce, a leader in the cannabis industry, and the CEO of GoodWill of San Diego County.  Please listen and let us know what you think, and please suggest guests.

Neil and I are also writing a book about Gina Champion-Cain, the mastermind behind a $400 million Ponzi scheme—the largest ever run by a woman in the US.

Staying engaged in the community!

I’ve joined the board of Enhance La Jolla, the maintenance assessment district that was formed to focus on the physical improvement of the Village of La Jolla.

I will continue to speak out on important local issues in an effort to call truth to power.  The issues are numerous, but to name a couple of them  - the franchise agreement for gas and electric service and the 101 Ash Street debacle, called the city’s worst ever real estate deal.  There will be plenty of grist for the mill.

In addition, I am supporting the movement to recall District 2 City Councilmember Jennifer Campbell.
