Dear John,

Please join Maine Conservation Voters and our partners next Thursday, February 11 from 12-1 PM to learn how Maine’s new Climate Action Plan will be enacted.

Gov. Mills and the Maine Climate Council released the final Climate Action Plan in December, after more than a year of hard work, scientific input, public comment, and debate. The resulting plan provides a pathway for Maine to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions, equitably transition to a clean energy economy, and protect 30% of our land by 2030. But how will this plan become reality?

Join experts from Maine's environmental and public health communities, including our own Kathleen Meil, next Thursday, Feb. 11 from 12-1 PM for a free Zoom webinar - Maine's Climate Action Plan: How a Plan Becomes Law . We’ll discuss what Gov. Mills, state agencies, and the new legislature can do to enact Maine’s Climate Action Plan. We’ll also let you know how you can get involved - even in this remote world.

I hope you can join us,

Abbie
