Amazon Web Services CEO Andy Jassy, who will replace Jeff Bezos as Amazon CEO this year, has been with the company since 1997. Jassy's division generated $12.7 billion in revenue in the most recent quarter and most of Amazon's profit.
Grainger earned $168 million in the fourth quarter, up from $103 million a year ago. Revenue increased to $2.94 billion against $2.85 billion in the year-ago period.
Indian River Consulting Group's Pandemic Revenue Index of 13 distributors rose by 6.4% the week of Jan. 25-29, the 12th straight week of growth. "Nine respondents reported increases ranging from 1% to 35% while four companies reported declines, ranging from 3% to 24%," Mike Emerson writes.
