Friends,
Don’t forget the 350 Fairfax general meeting tonight, Thursday, February 4, at 7:30 pm! This is what’s on the agenda:
Learn: Charlie Forbes, Fairfax County’s Chief for Solid Waste Recycling, Compliance, and Planning, will return for his annual update on the county’s plans for waste management in 2021 and beyond. Forbes has been with the County since 2005, moving over from his role as Deputy Regional Director with the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality. He is an expert in waste generation and composition analysis, landfill gas-to-energy project development, and long-range solid waste planning, and he always has great, practical, actionable information to share.
Discuss: Charlie’s presentation will allow ample time for Q&A about the county’s new compost program, the potential for a plastic bag fee, and all your other waste-related questions.
Act: There is always someone to call when the General Assembly is in session! We’ll give you the latest action alerts for Green New Deal and plastics legislation being considered down in Richmond.
