Here is where our campaign to bypass Congress and impose term limits on the House and Senate stands:

Over the next several months our term limits applications will be considered by at least half-a-dozen states legislatures.  Just a handful of votes could mean the difference between victory and defeat for term limiting  Congress.

The Georgia state senate has passed our resolution calling for the Term Limits Convention. USTL’s Georgia grassroots team is still fighting to pass it in the state house.

If we can pass our application  through the Georgia state house, we’ll will that much closer to calling the term limits convention and term-limiting members of congress.

However, I need your help.

$10, $20, $50 $100, $200 or whatever you can afford will help us implement this voter education effort in other states, and expand our state-level field teams to pass our Term Limits Convention legislation.

We need to recruit more volunteers in Tennessee.  We need more ads in Arizona.  Our volunteer coordinator in Georgia needs help to finish the job.  In Texas, Virginia, New Hampshire and West Virginia citizen activists are ready to fight . . .

We need 34 states to pass our term limits applications.  If we do that, the states can then impose term limits on the House and Senate.  And there is absolutely nothing the politicians on Capitol Hill can do to stop it.

Florida, Alabama, and Missouri have passed USTL’s term limits specific applications.

 Eleven other states have passed term limits specific language as part of a multi-subject convention initiatives.

Let me be perfectly frank.  The ONLY thing stopping us from winning in more states is money.

We have volunteers.  Our term limits rally in Denver had over 100 volunteers rallying for term limits.

We are organized.  Our state and regional coordinators are working 24/7!

We are up against special interests who have millions of dollars to fight us and love career politicians.

We don’t have the money for targeted state-level ads, media events or additional rallies.

The career politicians in D.C. have giant personal PACs and campaign slush funds to bribe state legislators to oppose us.
