Jamaal first ran for Congress because he saw firsthand how so many families are being locked out of opportunity by a system that's been rigged by and for the wealthy and privileged few.
Now, as Congressman, Jamaal is determined to continue fighting for these same communities and work to bring the real, long-lasting change our communities deserve — from pushing bold legislation to addressing immediate concerns of constituents.
Our communities are facing multiple crises, and we need policy solutions that match the scale of the issues we're facing. Jamaal is advocating for these solutions that will get us there in Congress.
Every day, we're working towards passing Medicare for All, a Green New Deal for Education, reparations, COVID-19 relief, and more — and we have to keep pushing, despite the efforts of the political establishment to stop us. Our work to dismantle systemic racism and create a multi-racial democracy cannot wait.
