Friend,

During my 2020 campaign for re-election, I was honored to have the endorsement of Council for a Livable World.

The Council for a Livable World promotes policies to reduce and eventually eliminate nuclear threats and minimize the risk of war.

Along with its sister organization, the Center for Arms Control and Non-Proliferation, Council for a Livable World has been at the forefront of U.S. arms control and national security policy for more than half a century and has been instrumental in supporting treaties that keep us all safer from nuclear catastrophe.

In this year’s election, the Council successfully helped elect dozens of Congressional candidates, including me. They helped flip the Senate, and supported Joe Biden’s presidential campaign.

I grew up in a military family, but I'm also keenly aware of the need for oversight of our military, to make sure that peace is the goal, not war. I know the devastation that war can cause, which is why I share the Council’s commitment to creating a safe, peaceful future.

Friend, will you consider signing Council for a Liveable World’s petition to President Biden asking him to reverse Trump’s dangerous nuclear policies?

Thank you,
Susan Wild
