OSSOFF AND PADILLA!

First 2 Speakers Confirmed for the CDP's Annual Obama Gala.

Image

We are so pleased to announce two of our first confirmed headline speakers for our 4th annual Obama Gala: U.S. Senators Jon Ossoff (GA) and Alex Padilla (CA)!

Fresh off a historic victory that won Dems the Senate Majority, Senator Ossoff is the youngest Democrat since President Biden to serve in the U.S. Senator at age 33, and he’s also the first Jewish Senator to represent the state of Georgia.

Senator Alex Padilla is a historic first, as well. He is the first Latino Senator to represent the state of California and the son of two immigrants to America. He embodies what it means to live the American dream and our event is the perfect opportunity to learn more about him.

These special guests perfectly encapsulate the theme of this year’s virtual gala, “Blue is Now” - two of the newest members of the Senate Majority.

Colorado had incredible victories in 2020! Come join fellow Democrats at a virtual gathering to celebrate those accomplishments, while supporting the state Democratic Party so we can protect those victories in 2021 and 2022.

Get your tickets to the virtual Obama Dinner and reserve your spot today!

The nominations are in -- now it's time to vote! Cast your vote for your favorite Democrats and for you believe should be honored at the 2021 Obama Dinner!

Celebrating Black History Month

Image

The Colorado Democratic Party released the following joint statement to commemorate Black History Month from Chair Morgan Carroll, Executive Director Halisi Vinson, and Chair of the African American Initiative of the Colorado Democrats Shenika Carter:

“This month, we take the time to celebrate Black excellence and Black achievement that have been so crucial to the growth of the United States of America. While we celebrate the excellence and achievement of Black leaders like Congressman John Lewis, Congresswoman Shirley Chisholm, Dr. King, Katherine Johnson, and too many others to name, we in Colorado can take special pride for the Black pioneers who journeyed west in search of freedom, dignity, and fair treatment. From the trailblazers like Barney Ford and Julia Greeley, to the bravery of the western Buffalo Soldiers, to modern day pioneers like Wellington and Wilma Webb, we have much to celebrate in Colorado this Black History Month.
