Dear John,
Senate confirmation hearings get underway today for Michael Regan, an environmental leader and bridge-builder who will get the EPA back on track after four years of reckless environmental and public health policies.
And, full disclosure, we’re all really proud of Michael around here. He worked at EDF from 2008 to 2016, serving as Regional Director of our Southeast Office and Associate Vice President of our Climate and Energy Program.
He has always displayed a can-do, optimistic approach, forged with passion and resolve to bring communities and stakeholders together and drive win-win, science-based solutions.
And he will do the same leading America’s top environmental agency.
Take action: Help ensure the Senate confirms Michael Regan as America’s next EPA administrator by urging your senators to vote yes on his nomination.

The Biden administration is making climate progress, pollution reduction and environmental justice cornerstones of its agenda to “Build Back Better.”
And as an EPA and environmental policy veteran, Regan brings the necessary experience the agency needs to get back on track.
For the last four years, Regan has served as Secretary of the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality. Among other important accomplishments, Regan helped forge a multibillion-dollar coal-ash cleanup settlement with Duke Energy.
He will bring that tenacity and focus to the EPA and help ensure that the agency follows its core mission to protect our health and the environment, respect scientific integrity and be a champion for all communities.
Please take action to urge your senators to confirm Michael Regan as an important step in supporting a bold agenda to cut pollution and protect our families.
Thank you for your activism and support,
Sam Parry
