CLIMATE STRIKES: Students worldwide are striking for our future

More than 4 million people in 117 countries have already marched for the Global Climate Strikes. Greta Thunberg and Fridays for Future, Amnesty International’s 2019 Ambassadors of Conscience, and other young leaders have called on people of all ages to join them.

Today it's Canada's turn, with hundreds of strikes are taking place across the country.

HONG KONG: Amnesty investigation reveals brutal beatings and torture in police detention

A new Amnesty International investigation has documented an alarming pattern of the Hong Kong Police Force deploying reckless and indiscriminate tactics and evidence of torture and other ill-treatment in detention. We are demanding a prompt and independent investigation into the violations, which appear to have escalated in severity since the mass protests began in June. Read more here >>>

TAKE ACTION: Urge the Hong Kong government to end the police crackdown and fully investigate excessive use of force
