For years, ACLU-DC and our coalition partners have advocated around the city budget. Budgets make a city's priorities clear in stark numerical form. In fact, there's a direct relationship between our civil rights and the budget the city sets. How much D.C. spends on policing, health services, education, and more can tell us a lot about our city's values.

Join us for a webinar on Tuesday, February 23 to learn the specifics of the budget process and how you can use your voice to weigh in on what D.C.'s funding priorities should be. Speakers from Bread for the City, DC Fiscal Policy Institute, and the D.C. Council Office of Racial Equity will engage in a conversation about what the budget means for you and your neighbors, and how to center racial equity and civil liberties in the budget process.
