Team,
Republicans have long tried to dump harmful nuclear waste at Yucca Mountain — which would be catastrophic for Nevadan communities and businesses.
President Biden has been clear: he has no plans to restart the process of building a nuclear waste site at Yucca Mountain. Although we are grateful for his stance, we must continue to stand strong against Republicans who have made continuous efforts to make Yucca a permanent nuclear repository site. We need 5,000 supporters to sign on and denounce these efforts. Will you add your name?
Senators Cortez Masto and Rosen have long advocated for a clean and sustainable future, which includes leaving Yucca Mountain, as Catherine Cortez Masto put it, "a hole in the ground."
Now that we have a new administration in the driver's seat, we can rest assured that our president will do what's best for Nevada families and communities. But we have to be prepared for Republican attempts to revert our progress. Stand with us as we fight to make sure the Yucca Mountain doesn't turn into a harmful nuclear storage site →
Thank you,
Molly Forgey Communications Director, NV Dems |
