Have you requested your absentee ballot yet? Do it now! [[link removed]]

Dear John ,
I know you’re a consistent voter. As a member and supporter of Wisconsin Conservation Voters, your voice at the polls has had significant impact on the future of Wisconsin’s natural resources and democracy.

As efforts to disenfranchise those of us most affected by pollution and climate change, particularly communities of color and underserved communities, intensify after the 2020 presidential election, it’s more important than ever to elect representatives at all levels of government who understand what’s at stake.

Even the savviest voter might not know that we have two important elections coming up on Feb. 16 and April 6. Those elections include local races. Local races offer opportunities for real change at the street level, where policy impacts you most directly.

As early voting begins, I’m asking that you request your absentee ballot [[link removed]] for these important elections. And, while doing so, you can request absentee ballots for the entire year.

For the Feb. 16 election, the official deadline to request an absentee ballot is Feb. 11. However, I strongly encourage you to make the request as soon as possible. The deadline to request an absentee ballot for the April 6 election is April 1, but I also strongly encourage you to request a ballot by March 23. If you don't receive your absentee ballot in the mail, you can also vote early or vote on Election Day.

With the ongoing efforts at stifling the vote and the evolving COVID-19 pandemic, voting by mail offers a safe, legal, and reliable way to cast your vote without putting yourself and your community at risk.

Can I count on you to request your absentee ballot for these elections now? You can do it here. [[link removed]]
These elections will help determine the success of our next generation in Wisconsin. Local and state elections are important and we want to make sure that your voice is heard.

Thanks for being a conservation (by mail) voter,

Seth Hoffmeister
