Things seem to be set in motion for Donald Trump to be getting his presidential library -- with a $2 billion price tag attached to it for taxpayers.
The National Archives has already established a “Donald J. Trump Presidential Library” website, and rumors are swirling that Trump has been heavily pushing for the project to be fast-tracked so he can capitalize on his MAGA momentum.
We want no part of Trump's violent and extremist legacy being enshrined, nor do we want our taxes to pay for it.
To reward Trump's ego with a permanent memorial to his racist and oppressive administration would be a blemish on our country -- a presidential library not only gives Trump another outlet to spew propaganda about the “successes” of his presidency but also adds more legitimacy to his still-ongoing accusations of voter fraud and rigged election results -- a direct threat to our democracy.
We need to let Congress know that Americans do not want their taxes going toward preserving Trump's fraudulent and disgraced legacy. That's why today we need to know if our supporters stand with us. Please, let us know now:
