John,
Marjorie Taylor Greene has no place in Congress.
From conspiracy theories about 9/11 to QAnon, whether or not Marjorie
Taylor Greene has the mental capacity to serve in Congress is a legitimate
question.
But there’s no question that someone who has indicated support for using
an assault weapon to “clean house” on Capitol Hill, hanging President
Obama and Secretary of State Clinton, and “a bullet to the head” to remove
Nancy Pelosi as Speaker is not fit to serve.
If you or I threatened co-workers with a bullet to the head, we would be
thrown in jail. The least Congress can do is remove her from all committee
assignments and then expel her from Congress.
Nothing short of complete repudiation for supporting insurrection against
America and the execution of political leaders is acceptable.

There's not a lot I can add about the things Greene has espoused. They
speak for themselves. They're hateful, violent, and deranged.
Here are a few of the abhorrent things Greene has said and done:
* Mocked a Parkland Florida school shooting survivor as an "idiot" who
"only talks when he is scripted" saying, "He is very trained. He's
like a dog. He's completely trained" and using the hashtag
#littleHitler
* Peddled anti-semitic ideas that California’s 2018 wildfires were
ignited by a Jewish control space laser
* Believes that the Clintons had JFK Jr. killed
She’s advocated for conspiracy theories claiming the horrific school
shootings in Newtown, Connecticut, and Parkland, Florida were hoaxes. She
called both shootings and the Las Vegas massacre in 2017 “false flags,” a
term used to describe a military operation designed by perpetrators to
look like they were carried out by other individuals or groups.
Despite knowing all of this about her, House Republican leader Kevin
McCarthy still assigned Greene to the Education and Labor, and Budget
Committees. Think about that for a minute. Republican leadership actually
assigned her to the Education committee of all places.
These frightening, hateful, and bigoted beliefs are enough to know she
must be marginalized and kept from serving on any Congressional committee,
but sadly ignorance and intolerance aren’t enough to expel her from
serving in Congress completely.
Do you know what is? Supporting calls to murder political leaders and
sedition against the U.S. Government.

Removal from committee assignments isn’t an outrageous idea. In 2019,
former Congressman Steve King was removed from two committees after
questioning why white supremacy was offensive. Even Republicans used to
understand what accountability for hate and bigotry should look like. Hard
to believe that wasn’t that long ago.
Now, Republican leadership in the House refuses to take action against
Greene, so America needs Democrats to step up and repudiate Greene
themselves.
Nothing short of complete repudiation is acceptable.
In solidarity,
