Dear John,
Pembina, a Canadian fossil fuel corporation, is pushing the federal government
to override a denied permit for the Jordan Cove LNG export terminal and fracked
gas pipeline. Take action now.

Jordan Cove LNG fracked gas export terminal would stretch 229 miles from Malin,
Oregon to Coos Bay, Oregon -- impacting more than 485 rivers, streams, and
wetlands along its path.
But that isn’t stopping Pembina. It is trying to bypass the state of Oregon’s
authority and the Clean Water Act to push through its dirty, polluting pipeline.
John, can we count on you to help stop it?
Take action to stop Jordan Cove LNG. Demand the federal government uphold
Oregon’s denial.

[[link removed]]The pipeline cannot move forward without a Clean Water Act approval from Oregon,
which has already been denied. Last week the Federal Energy Regulatory
Commission (FERC) upheld Oregon’s denial for a permit of the Jordon Cove LNG
terminal. Yet Pembina is continuing to fight for their dirty pipeline.
The Oregon Coast Coho Salmon are a threatened species and are scarcely found in
streams throughout Oregon and California. The Jordan Cove LNG pipeline would
cross at least 34 streams that they depend on.
Trenching, blasting, damming, or drilling in each stream will lower the quality
of their habitat. Additionally, the pipeline would require the removal of stream side trees,
reducing shade and increasing the stream water temperatures. This will
ultimately destroy the fish habitat.
Tell the federal government to protect Coho Salmon from the Jordan Cove
Liquefied Natural Gas Pipeline.

[[link removed]]Pembina is trying to build the liquified natural gas pipeline in an area that
supplies water to hundred of thousands of Oregonians. The 12 watersheds the
pipeline would pass through risk contamination, disproportionately impacting
low-income communities and communities of color.
The Clean Water Act worked. It did its job to protect public health and keep
water safe and clean. But the fight is not over. Pembina is going to continue to pull out every stop
to push through their dangerous liquified natural gas pipeline.
We know people power can move stop it. Environmentalists like you have already
fought and helped defeat other pipelines. Now, we need your help to stop the
Jordan Cove LNG pipeline.
35,000 Signatures Still Needed: Demand Jordan Cove LNG pipeline be stopped for
good.
