Hello John,

Zephi Trevino, a 17 year old victim of child sex trafficking, is currently facing capital murder charges for a crime committed by her trafficker. We are calling on Dallas District Attorney, John Creuzot, to drop the horribly inappropriate charges against Zephi and open an investigation into her sex trafficking victimization, and we need your help! DA Creuzot is not only attempting to hold Zephi criminally accountable for the actions of her trafficker, he is also attempting to certify her as an adult; consequently, if convicted, Zephi could face life in prison.

A certification hearing is scheduled for this Friday, February 5th and it is critical that DA Creuzot hear from advocates like yourself; it is time that DA Creuzot turn the investigation away from Zephi and towards her victimization!  Please sign our petition by Thursday afternoon, February 4th, calling for justice. It takes less than a minute to use your voice to fight for Zephi!

Another way you can help get DA Creuzot’s attention is through a Tweet Storm scheduled for today, February 3rd , from 3-5pm ET using the hashtag #FreeZephi. The goal is to get Zephi trending, gaining the attention of the DA in hopes that he will drop the charges. To join the Tweet Storm, tweet with the hashtag above or review one of the sample tweets from WorldWE Youth Coalition’s Twitter Toolkit.
