CONGRESS MUST RAISE THE MINIMUM WAGE TO $15 AN HOUR: DO YOU AGREE?
YES NO
Jack:
Last week, Kirsten teamed up with Senator Bernie Sanders and fellow Senate Democrats to introduce the Raise the Wage Act: A bill that would increase the minimum wage to $15 an hour by 2025, and tie future wage increases to median wage growth.
It’s a bold, progressive policy that will lift millions out of poverty, stimulate the economy and spur business growth.
It’s also an extremely popular policy supported by Americans in both parties: More than HALF of Americans support raising the minimum wage to $15 an hour. In November, Florida residents voted to raise the statewide minimum wage to $15. The proposal earned more support than either presidential candidate in the state.
Kirsten believes that now is not the time for half-measures—that Americans are hurting and need support NOW to feed their families and pay their rent. But we want to hear from you:
SHOULD CONGRESS RAISE THE MINIMUM WAGE TO $15 AN HOUR?
YES NO
The American Dream promises that if you work hard, you can earn your way into the middle class. But for millions of Americans, that dream is impossibly out of reach. Raising the minimum wage is a moral imperative that is good for American families, good for businesses, and good for the economy.
Thank you for adding your voice.
