Dear John,

What can you and I do to stop abortions in 2021?

That's a question many of us have been asking as we just
observed the 48th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, which legalized abortion
nationwide. And after a wild 2020, that question is especially
fitting, as the landscape for protecting babies in the womb has
changed dramatically.

Some of those changes are for the worse, but in other important ways,
the situation is remarkably improved! That means that you and I face
both new threats and new opportunities in this life-and-death mission
to save the most vulnerable among us. And that's why I'm
asking you to renew your support of Family Policy Alliance in
2021 - to save babies' lives together.

But first, let me quickly explain what the changes are - and what they mean.

First, we face a White House lockout on life. For the last four years,
we've had the most pro-life administration in modern history.
President Trump's policies, appointments and vocal support were
remarkably strong on life.

But that changed in stunning fashion on January 20th. Joe Biden has
already been keeping his campaign pledges to erase pro-life
protections through executive orders signed in his first few days in
office, and Kamala Harris has been the most radical abortion zealot in
the U.S. Senate - even pushing to use the Justice
Department to preemptively block states from passing pro-life laws.

Second, state legislatures got better... and worse. Most abortion
policies are handled by the states and the election results at the
state level were mixed. In some states, legislatures became more
pro-abortion, setting up big showdowns on radical abortion
legislation. But overall, state legislatures actually became more
pro-life and we also gained a new pro-life governor (Montana).

We're about to face state battles on both ends of the spectrum
- fighting bills that would legalize abortion right up to birth
in some states while working to pass important pro-life protections in
others.

Third, we have new hope at the Supreme Court. The change at the Court
in 2018 (Kavanaugh replacing Kennedy) was very significant, but that
pales in comparison to the change last fall (Barrett replacing
Ginsburg).

There is real hope now that the Court will uphold new pro-life laws
being passed by the states - and perhaps eventually even
overturn Roe v. Wade and let the states decide abortion policy. It
means that all of these clashes at the state level have even greater
significance.

So, back to the question I asked at the start:

"What can you and I do to stop abortions in 2021?"

The answer is: A lot.

As you can see, things didn't get quieter on the abortion front;
they got busier. And with Congress and most state legislatures already
in session, multiple battles are upon us:

* We need to save lives by stopping certain states from passing
outrageous bills that would allow abortion without restriction
right up to birth!

* We need to save lives by limiting the nationwide damage that the
Biden/Harris Administration can do.

* And most of all, we need to save lives by helping pro-life state
legislatures pass exciting new life protections -
laws that will now have a much better chance of being upheld in
the Supreme Court!

Will you help us turn pro-life goals into reality with your gift today?

Your donation will go to the policy fights across the nation that need
it most. Family Policy Alliance works with state and national allies
to monitor the constantly shifting situations in the legislative
arenas, allowing our strategic targeting to change quickly.

Funds are urgently needed for outreach into the districts of pivotal
legislators - using digital ads, texting campaigns, phone
calls, emails and more - to activate prolife citizens and
put needed pressure on those elected officials. Your gift will also
enable Family Policy Alliance staff to be in the halls of some of
those state capitols - lobbying and testifying in support
of pro-life policies.

After all of the ups and downs of 2020, you and I now have an
opportunity to make a direct impact on the outcomes of countless
precious lives. Will you join that effort today?

Yours for an America where life is cherished,
Craig DeRoche
President & CEO

P.S. Battles over life are already erupting in state capitols all over
the country and in D.C. The threats and opportunities are both very
real, and lives are very much on the line. Will you help with your
most generous gift today?
