Colorado Politics: ([link removed]) U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert will join the House Natural Resources and Budget committees, the freshman Republican announced Tuesday.
....

"With over half of Colorado’s Third Congressional District containing federal land, I’ll have a unique opportunity to be a strong voice for my constituents on important issues impacting their livelihoods," Boebert said in a statement, referring to her position on Natural Resources.

"I’ll pursue policies that increase access and ensure multiple-use for sportsmen and other public land enthusiasts, allow for responsible energy production while protecting the environment, reduce our dependency on rare earths and critical minerals from China, empower tribes, increase storage and protect precious water supplies, and promote job creation while removing unnecessary regulations and red tape."

** Western Slope Lawmaker Warns A Moratorium On Federal Leases Will Devastate Garfield County: ‘Industry Will Collapse’
------------------------------------------------------------
[link removed]
CBS Denver: ([link removed]) A new executive action by President Joe Biden could impact hundreds of oil and gas operators on Colorado’s Western Slope. The president issued a moratorium ([link removed]) on new federal leases, and maybe nowhere will the impact be felt more than in Garfield County. It has the second largest natural gas reserve in the country, but drilling has begun to dry up over the last couple of years as gas prices have plummeted.

State Sen. Bob Rankin represents Garfield County and is worried that between the new federal moratorium and new state rules, what’s left of the industry is doomed.
...

Many of the operators, he says, are small business owners who employ thousands of people in Garfield.

“These are small companies. Many of them will just cease, go bankrupt, go out of business.”

** GOP Unleashes Wave Of Pro-Life Bills In Democrat-Controlled Congress
------------------------------------------------------------

Daily Caller: ([link removed]) Second Chance at Life Act

Republican Colorado Rep. Doug Lamborn introduced the Second Chance at Life Act Thursday, which would require abortion clinics to provide information on the reverse side effects ([link removed]) of chemical abortions to women who wish to obtain that type of abortion. The legislation would also require abortion providers to let the woman know that the chemical abortion, a two-drug procedure, can be reversed even after the first drug is administered.

“The Second Chance at Life Act provides hope for babies whose mothers deserve the opportunity to make a fully informed decision on any abortion,” Lamborn said in a statement. “Chemical abortions can be reversed with zero harm to the child if the pregnant mother develops second thoughts midway through the abortion process.”
